Tenjaku is a Japanese character for both the skylark (Hibari), the beloved herald of spring, and this masterful malt whisky. It has an agreeably pure, mellow flavor, similar to the clear exquisite song of a small bird. The color of this fantastic whisky is pale gold. Aromas of fresh grain, banana bread with raisins, toasted walnuts, and honey-drizzled pears, with a supple, crisp, dryish light-to-medium body and a smooth, interesting medium-long finish of melon, smoked peppercorns, pimiento, marinated mushrooms, and banana nougat.
